| Three Defenders to represent East |

Three Bryan Station seniors have been selected to play in the 3rd Annual "Best of the Bluegrass" East vs West All Star Football Game. The game is set to kick off on Friday, June 18th 2010 at Western Kentucky University and features some of the best football talent in the state. Defenders Octavian Crutcher (LB), Tevin McCaden (RB), and Chaz Mitchell (SB) will be representing the EAST team.
The East will be coached by Jim Black of Whitley Co (head coach) and assistant Jeff Marksberry of Simon Kenton. Head Coach for the West is Shawn Berner of Fort Campbell, assisted by coach Joe Prince of Owensboro.

Bryan Station senior tailback Tevin McCaden, who led the state in rushing most of last season, will accept Kentucky’s offer to join the Cats as a preferred walk-on.

| Bryan Station names new football coach |

Kenny Turner has been named the new football coach at Bryan Station High School. Turner has been the head coach at Madison Central High School since 2003, where his teams were District Champs in 2003, 2004 and 2005, and District Runner-Ups in 2007 and 2008, with an overall record of 51 and 30. Turner has also served in a variety of assistant coaching posts at Madison Central High, and Godwin High in Richmond, VA. He was also head football coach at Covington Holmes High School for 11 years and has experience coaching track and basketball at various schools. [...] Read more... |

As every year, National Signing Day is marked by a media frenzy about which players will sign and with whom. It's not much different at Bryan Station, where many of our seniors have received scholarship offers and are ready to sign their letter of intent, while others are still holding out or are in the process of making a decision.

It’s no longer a secret: former Madison Central coach Kenny Turner has been selected to take over as head coach for the Defenders. Apparently the only thing that stands in the way from making it official is a signature from downtown.
